im having a terrible toothache. one that is disrupting my hitherto ordered life in a disgusting way such that i cant even eat properly. imagine the agony of that! all those glorious food presented before me yet i cant swallow them into my stomach. then i started to think miserably: why of all people, me? i then comforted myself by thinking that god was just being fair. although i ate a lot of junkie, i can hardly be counted as a fat person, even without much exercise these days. so my punishment for all the crap ive eaten would be to make dental appointments for the rest of my life. that will aptly explain why my other teeth are also requiring the much needed attention from our friendly dentist-man/woman.

the tooth that has been bugging me since friday is the one that had undergone Root Canal Treatment (RCT) at Alexandra Hospital some 2 or 3 years ago. it is the last tooth on the left side of my mouth and i conveniently forgot the name its been given. the treatment stopped abruptly due to SARS and when i tried to call back to make another appointment, they didnt take my calls. or so i had remembered. from what i think i know, RCT involves retrieving the "root" of a tooth and then replacing the hollow space created by some amalgam, i think. since it will be brittle without its "root", a crown is needed to cover the whole tooth. i was stuck at the stage where the hollow space was being filled up. my tooth has proved to be strong without the crown but earlier this Feb, a part of it was chipped off. and another tooth on the right side of my mouth got chipped off too. how sad can my teeth get? i bet they are gonna need RCT sooner or later.
